What data is used to determine the ranking on the section’s homepage?

I saw a ranking on the homepage of the section, but I’ve never understood what data is used for that ranking – is it the number of posts posted on that day or the total number of topics? Or the number of themes for that day? I would appreciate it if an expert could provide an answer. Thank you!
Which specific ranking on the homepage are you referring to? Post ranking? Top trending posts?

I also don’t understand the original poster’s question – is it determined by how things are ranked, based on the total number of posts, or by the number of posts posted on that day?
