The middle button of the mouse in AutoCAD 2004 does not work properly. Under normal circumstances, holding down the middle button keeps the little hand in a position where it can be translated ; Scroll up and down with the middle button to zoom in and out ; Double-clicking the middle button is equivalent to “zoom”. The problem now is that holding down the middle button doesn’t bring up a hand; it’s still possible to pan, but the image flickers ; The middle button for scrolling up and down cannot be used for zooming; it only allows scrolling up and down through the image ; Double-clicking the middle button produces no response. Setting the system variable MBUTTONPAN to either 0 or 1 yields the same result. (Under normal circumstances, changing this variable will result in different effects.) I reinstalled AutoCAD several times, but the problem persisted. Please, experts, help me out~ What’s going on here? Is this the way to solve it? :handshake Last edited by busuanpang on 2008-5-9 00:21 ]
It’s fixed now~ It turned out the mouse was broken; replacing it solved the problem! But strangely, using this mouse with other software (IE, Adobe Reader) works normally.
My mouse’s middle scroll button works fine, but holding it down and double-clicking don’t work – it’s probably broken too?
:Lol, I ran into the same problem as the original poster
This problem is very common; sometimes it just happens for no apparent reason
