This can be seen from efforts made in some areas to ensure a peaceful testing environment across the city, messages of encouragement sent by prominent figures from various sectors to the candidates, cooperation between families and schools to maintain order during the exams, as well as the intense discussion in the media and among the public regarding the essays required for the exam. In reality, the college entrance examination still plays a role in shaping people’s lives, but as society continues to develop and living standards rise, the idea that one exam determines one’s entire future seems to be fading away, and the sense of urgency associated with competing in such a competitive environment is gradually diminishing. Therefore, it is wiser to approach the college entrance examination with a calm and rational attitude, to view it as a new starting point in life. By reflecting on the past and looking forward to the new journey that lies ahead, one can make proper plans for the next steps – an approach that is in line with the spirit of our times. Fortunately, this is increasingly becoming a consensus among the younger generation: \"The college entrance examination is indeed an important milestone in life, but it is by no means the end; it is merely a crossroads on the path of growth.\" It can even be said that after the college entrance examination, one stands at a new starting point; it’s just that the location of this starting point is different. ”Recently, an online media outlet conducted a survey among over 20,000 college entrance examination candidates born in the 2000s. The results showed that around half of these candidates believed that the college entrance exam was meant to provide them with more experience, rather than being a crucial exam that could change their fate. Indeed, the same college entrance exam hides different futures behind it ； The same score also leads to different lives. After the college entrance examination, some candidates may achieve their goals, but without a long-term plan and if they view the exam as something to do for their parents or family, thinking that getting into university means completing the most important part of their lives, they will miss out on opportunities to develop faster and improve themselves. As a result, they are likely to end up being ordinary people, facing unemployment upon graduation or experiencing confusion in middle age. On the contrary, those who fail the college entrance examination may not be considered successful by many, but if they face reality, regain their courage, and find a direction in life along different paths, they might still be able to embark on a wonderful second half of their lives. Even if one enters the same university, their future will differ due to differences in attitude; the secret lies in whether one has a long-term vision and an awareness of planning proactively. In fact, the thoughts and actions taken after the college entrance examination can reveal different levels of competence and perspective. Relatively speaking, those with great ambitions and lofty aspirations are often able to not only view the college entrance examination as a crucial test in life, but also to deliver a good performance in the challenges that come their way in the future ； Those who lack long-term planning and focus only on the present, or those who live for others, will have to take many detours in the future. The news media need not focus solely on those so-called winners of the college entrance examination. Rather than dedicating plenty of attention to those who succeed in this exam, it would be better to view the college entrance examination as just one ordinary milestone in life, and to celebrate the spirit of continuous effort for one’s own sake and for the benefit of one’s country. As the China Youth Daily commented recently, \"The new generation of the new era, in this hot month of June, has condensed their efforts into one answer after another, using hard work to give meaning to the best of times and the most beautiful years of youth.\" Regardless of the outcome, writing one’s youth through hard work and achieving dreams through perseverance has long become the consensus of a generation as well as the direction for their future lives. It is more advisable and kinder to urge people to view the results of the college entrance examination rationally, to offer comfort and guidance to those who fail it; this approach is also more conducive to helping society return to rationality and truly focus on people. One’s attitude toward important matters tests a person’s breadth of mind, reflecting the cultural landscape of a family and the level of development of a society. Those who regard the college entrance exam as the most important thing, and who become more anxious as the big life exam approaches, always lack the confidence and ease that comes from being able to laugh and talk nonchalamously while seeing one’s opponents’ efforts reduced to ashes ； By viewing the college entrance examination in a more relaxed light, considering it as a turning point in one’s life and placing it within the broader context of a long life journey, and approaching it with the mindset that true character is revealed only in times of adversity, we can better understand the vitality and maturity of a society.
