For the basic exam, go to Jack Ma’s store to buy the Tian Da edition of study materials for the basic exam for registered chemical engineers; it consists of two volumes, with a total of around 1400–1500 pages
1. Examination Content The basic examination for registered chemical engineers is divided into two parts: general foundation and professional foundation examinations. Among them, the general foundation section consists of 120 multiple-choice questions, each worth 1 point, while the specialized foundation section comprises 60 multiple-choice questions, each worth 2 points. The subjects included in the general foundation exam and their respective proportions are: Mathematics (20%, 24 questions), Physics (10%, 12 questions), Chemistry (8%, 10 questions), Theoretical Mechanics (10%, 12 questions), Mechanics of Materials (10%, 12 questions), Fluid Mechanics (7%, 8 questions), Electrical and Electronic Engineering (7%, 8 questions), Signals and Information Technology (8%, 10 questions), Computer Science (8%, 10 questions), Engineering Economics (7%, 8 questions), and Laws and Regulations (5%, 6 questions). The subjects required for the professional foundation exam include: Physical Chemistry, Principles of Chemical Engineering, Process Control in Chemical Engineering, Fundamentals of Chemical Engineering Design, Basics of Chemical Pollution Control, Chemical Thermodynamics, and Occupational Regulations. Since it is difficult to obtain real exam questions based on the professional fundamentals, the proportion associated with them has not been calculated; one can refer to the proportion of practice questions in the review materials for the professional fundamentals exam for registered chemical engineers at Tianjin University. 2. Review Materials The recommended review materials are the set of review guides for the Registration Examination for Chemical Engineering Engineers published by Tianjin University Press (comprising a volume on general knowledge and another on specialized knowledge). These two books are available for purchase on Amazon and Dangdang, with prices ranging from around 100 to 160. It is recommended that students who intend to take the exam buy or borrow these two books. These two tutorials include an exam outline at the beginning of each chapter; the main text is concise, examples are provided throughout the book, and there are simulation questions at the end of each chapter. Several sets of practice questions are also included at the end of the book, with a difficulty level and format similar to those of the actual exams.
