To all relevant departments: The Party’s * report states that, through long-term efforts, socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era, which represents a new historical stage in China’s development. The main contradiction in this new era has transformed into one between the people’s ever-growing demands for a better life and the uneven and inadequate level of development. In this new era, China’s economy has shifted from a phase of rapid growth to one of high-quality development. To keep up with the developments of the new era, the petrochemical industry must not only create more high-quality, high-value products to meet the growing demand for a better quality of life among the people, but also provide more green and environmentally friendly products to satisfy the increasing need for a healthier ecological environment. This requires enterprises in the petrochemical industry to make timely adjustments and pursue a path of refined development focused on higher value addition and sustainability. Against this backdrop, the China Chemical Industry Information Center, in collaboration with the People’s Government of Puyang City, plans to hold the “2018 China (Puyang) Petrochemical Industry Integration Development Conference” on August 16–17, 2018. The conference will focus on discussing the development directions for the expansion and refinement of key industrial chains such as petrochemical olefins and aromatics under the current circumstances, and will share relevant technologies and exemplary experiences in promoting the safe, green, environmentally friendly, and intelligent development of petrochemical enterprises and parks. This conference aims to serve as an important platform for participants to seek answers to their questions, meet potential partners, and discuss the development of the industry.
