Recently, someone came to sell flow meters; I found it to be Shanghai Cologne. I think it was Rehe Cologne that I bought before. Those who are aware of these two manufacturers believe that they seem to be two companies operating independently. Is Kroni now setting up OEM factories everywhere? Is the Dongdong product from Shanghai Cologne effective? Everyone, share your own experiences
Additional question: especially his rotameter
It is said that Chengde existed first, followed by Shanghai; the Germans gradually sent officials to manage Shanghai, while there was no one specifically in charge of Chengde for a time. The rotors from Chengde have been used; they’re okay. They (the people from Chengde Coronie) said that Germans have inspected their products and found them to be better than those manufactured by German manufacturers, at a lower price. The situation regarding the mass flow meter is unclear.
I’ve also used the one from Chengde; it’s okay. I wonder how are the rotameters in Shanghai?
In fact, Shanghai Kolon and Rehe Kroni are both subsidiaries of German company Kolon – just like the difference between Shanghai Volkswagen and FAW-Volkswagen. Shanghai Kolon mainly produces electromagnetic flowmeters, mass flowmeters, and other original products. Kolon’s rotameters, vortex flowmeters, magnetic flap level gauges, float switches, flow switches, level switches, purging devices, radar level gauges, as well as temperature instruments are all manufactured in Chengde. By the way, Shanghai Kolon does not produce rotameters
:) Chengde Rehe Croni is the leading domestic brand of metal tube float flowmeters (also known as rotameters), and it is the only joint venture manufacturer in China operated by a German company from Cologne. The float flowmeter from Cologne, Germany, can be considered the world’s leading brand.
Chengde Rehe Crony is a manufacturer of metal tube float flowmeters. Shanghai Cologne produces electromagnetic flowmeters. It’s two companies
Shanghai Cologne mainly produces electromagnetic flowmeters; its other products include: 1. Flow meter types – mass flowmeters; Electromagnetic flowmeter ; Ultrasonic flow meter ; Rotary flow meter ; Float flow meter 2. Level gauges Radar level gauge ; Guided wave radar level gauge ; Ultrasonic level gauge 3. Water quality analysis instruments OPTISENS 1000 conductivity probe ; OPTISENS 2000 PH/ORP probe ; OPTISENS2080 Ammonia/Nitrate Detection System ; OPTISENS1050 Chlorine Measurement System ; OPTISENS 1050 Turbidity Measurement System ; OPTISENS 2000 solid suspended solids, turbidity, dissolved oxygen probes, etc
Chengde Rehe Crony Instrument Co., Ltd. was established in June 1991. A high-tech enterprise controlled by the German side, established through a joint venture between the German company out of Cologne and Chengde Linda Instrument Co., Ltd. (formerly Chengde Rehe Instrument Factory). In addition to selling its own products, Chengde Rehe Crony Instruments Co., Ltd. is also responsible for promoting the products of other manufacturing plants belonging to the company in Cologne, Germany, in the Chinese market. The company in Cologne, Germany, is a comprehensive manufacturer of instruments. The KROHNE trademark has become a symbol of high quality and technological advancement in the field of measurement, including instruments for flow, quality, level, fill level, density, analysis, and control. The German company out of Cologne is a world-renowned multinational firm specializing in the production of instruments and meters. It provides financial support, products, and key equipment to Chengde Rehe Crony Instruments Co., Ltd., as well as technical assistance. Shanghai Cologne is the office of the German company Cologne in Shanghai.
So, how are the rotameters sold by Cologne Measurement Instruments (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.? Did they say it’s originally imported from Germany? I wonder if it’s true?
I think what was said on floor 6 is incorrect – is Kroni the number one brand? It’s a bit large; there are at least ABB, Rosemount, and similar brands available. The Kroni in Chengde is a rotor; it’s not particularly cheap, but it is indeed quite large in size. Does Shanghai Cologne manufacture other types of flowmeters besides those with rotors? And it seems that those small instrument factories in Chengde all produce products under each other’s brand names. The execution is rather poor.
