I originally planned to just be a ninja, earn some money casually, then marry an ordinary woman who wasn’t particularly beautiful nor ugly, and have two children – a girl and a boy. Once my daughter got married and my son was old enough to take care of himself, I would retire from being a ninja. After that, I would live day by day, playing shogi or go, leading a leisurely life, and dying a little before my wife. That’s the life I envisioned for myself.
