Professor Huang Minghong at Southern University of Science and Technology is seeking one postdoctoral researcher. Research area: environmental science; familiarity with environmental chemical analysis techniques. Responsibilities: assist Professor Huang in preparing research projects and academic articles, as well as managing the academic journal Environmental Geochemistry and Health (Springer). Location: School of Environment, Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen. Start date: immediately. Annual salary: 280,000–300,000 RMB. Prof Wong is currently a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology; a Chang Jiang Chair Professor of Environmental Science appointed by China’s Ministry of Education; and an Emeritus Professor of Biology at Hong Kong Baptist University. From 2001–2003 and 2010–2012, he served as the Coordinator for Central and North-East Asia for the project “Regionally based assessment of Persistent Toxic Substances,” and as one of three panel members for another project titled “Chemicals Management Issues of developing countries and countries with economies in transition,” both funded by UNEP/GEF. Prof Wong has published over 650 SCI-indexed papers and 32 book chapters; he has edited 25 books and special issues of scientific journals, and has filed 5 patents. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Environmental Geochemistry and Health (Springer). Research interests: 1. Environmental and health risk assessments of persistent toxic substances; 2. Ecological restoration of contaminated sites; 3. Use of food waste for safe and high-quality fish production
