As part of the events commemorating World City Day in 2018, the \"2nd China International Conference on Urban Infrastructure Construction and Management 2018\" (hereinafter referred to as the Conference) will be held in Hangzhou, China, from October 18 to 19, 2018. It is organized under the guidance of the Chinese Society for Civil Engineering and the China Intelligent Transportation Association, and is co-hosted by the Municipal Engineering Branch of the Chinese Society for Civil Engineering, the Hangzhou Urban and Rural Construction Commission, Zhejiang Tsinghua Yangtze River Delta Research Institute, the Shanghai World City Day Coordination Center, and Tunnel Co., Ltd. Shanghai Urban Construction Group. Under the theme of “Data Intelligence ‘Illuminating’ the Future of Cities,” the conference will focus on key topics such as comprehensive urban management, intelligent transportation, operational safety, smart sensing, intelligent manufacturing, and smart water management. Through various formats including summit forums, roundtable discussions, and innovation presentations, it will create a platform for cross-sectoral collaboration in the fields of urban infrastructure and information technology. This will help foster an academic atmosphere, promote the adoption of new technologies, and encourage experts and leaders from government, industry, academia, research institutions, and practical application sectors around the world to share and discuss cutting-edge ideas and achievements in smart city development, thereby advancing the practical progress of smart city construction. We hereby sincerely invite **managers, corporate representatives, and experts and scholars engaged in research related to smart city development, infrastructure construction and operation, and big data technology applications**, both from within and abroad, to attend the conference.
