I feel there are many heat exchanger calculations, and they are all operational problems, which are quite difficult. There is also another filtering step; it took a lot of time to calculate it, but no result was obtained. Overall, it feels harder in the morning than in the afternoon. Let’s all recall the questions from this morning.

I feel it’s simpler than in 2017; the amount of calculation is a bit more, but the topics covered aren’t too obscure.
The problem related to the plate and frame filter press is basically the same as the example in the textbook, but the amount of calculation required is quite large; I could hardly fit all the steps in the available space – it took almost 20 minutes to solve it. . . The final answer comes with options, and a point that is easy to get wrong is that the filtration area of a plate and frame filter press is on two sides, while the washing area is only on one side.
