One does not necessarily need to make friends with powerful people, but must surely surround oneself with positive influences. Eleven years ago, I changed jobs for the first time, moving from a remote industrial area to an even more remote one. The factory only has one day off per month; work is done on Sundays as well. Since I have a training class on Sunday afternoon, I asked my supervisor for half a day off per week. Because of this, I became an outlier among my colleagues. I often hear harsh comments directed at me, some of which are even said in my presence: “She’s already twenty-five or twenty-six years old and still studying; she doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to find a partner, no wonder she can’t get married.” ”“If you like going to school so much, is it because your family was too poor and you couldn’t get an education? ” Not only that, but I also faced all sorts of exclusion. I was mocked for working hard as being \"eager to stand out\"” ; The suspected \"traitor\" who reported others” ; My name is also often mentioned to make jokes about me being with married, greasy men. For the first time in my life, I feel that studying* is a shameful thing, that working hard is a shameful thing, and even being single is a shameful thing. Later, I met Penny. She is a representative sent by a client to work at the factory; we had a lot of business interactions, and later we became good friends in our personal lives as well. Once I mentioned to Penny experiencing exclusion, and Penny said, “In a group, those who don’t fit in aren’t necessarily the ones who have done something wrong.” As long as he is different from the others, he is enough to become an enemy of the group. So there’s no need to worry about it; you just don’t belong to their circle. ” It suddenly clicked for me. I have always been grateful for meeting Penny; in that environment full of negative energy, meeting her was like a person walking at night seeing a street lamp – everything around suddenly became clear. She helped me see myself in a new light: being ambitious is my strength, and it’s nothing shameful. A positive friend will help you see a bigger world. Another friend who had a profound impact on me is Sister Song; it was she who inspired my motivation to learn *. At the beginning of my job, I was quite lost and unsure about what the future held; after work each day, I would go out with my colleagues to wander around and find various ways to pass the time. Sister Song never wanders around with us; she always stays quietly in the dormitory reading books. Once, Sister Song asked me to accompany her to sign up for self-study exams at the TV university. Along the way, she told me many advantages of taking such exams and advised me to use the time I would otherwise spend on having fun on studying instead, so that I could obtain an associate degree. Having suffered the consequences of having a low educational background when looking for a job, I was quickly persuaded by Sister Song. Only after I got closer to Sister Song did I realize that a girl’s circle isn’t just about discounted clothes and delicious snacks. Sister Song’s friends are all motivated people; they get together to exchange learning resources and discuss career plans. Spending half an hour chatting with them is like reading many books at once – I feel like I’ve gained a lot from it. This group of people has shown me that a positive circle can make life more meaningful. The energy that Sister Song and her circle have conveyed to me has benefited me to this day. Later, I also learned from them and passed on this energy, helping more than a dozen people to pick up their books and continue studying*. People have different levels of energy; those with low energy are listless and slack, with their vision confined to a very limited scope ; People with high energy are optimistic and proactive, as well as having a broad perspective. Circles formed by people with different energies also vary greatly. People with low energy get together, complain, suspect each other, feel jealous, and even attack one another ; People with high energy get together, showing tolerance, affirmation, and appreciation, while growing together as a group. If friends with positive energy are the light that guides us on our journey, then a circle of such people possesses the power to spread like wildfire. It will optimize our living habits, nourish our spiritual world, and give us the motivation to keep moving forward. My close friend group consists of seven girls; starting with just two of us who learned*, we now have seven of us who all maintain the habit of learning**, whether through self-study or further education, and each of us has a clear goal in mind for our efforts. Energy can be transferred between friends. When positive energy emerges within a group, it spreads among the individuals, and over time this energy becomes increasingly stronger. I have been part of many circles, and most of them merely provide ways to fill one’s leisure time; friendships formed through entertainment come quickly and go just as quickly. My best friends and I have been supporting each other through ten years; over these years we have witnessed one another’s growth and empowered one another. My personal experience is that only circles infused with energy can stand the test of time. Everyone is a combination of positive and negative energies; even the most positive people can feel depressed when faced with setbacks, while even the most negative people have the desire to improve themselves. When one’s self-energy is low, the environment around them becomes particularly important. One takes on the color of those around them. Circles of negative energy have a negative impact; they unleash the demons within us. A circle of positive energy has a positive influence on people, inspiring more upward momentum within us. A circle of positive energy is a bonus when we are feeling successful, and it’s also a source of support when we are feeling disheartened. When we are around positive people and see how others go from ordinary to outstanding, we no longer believe in shortcuts to success ; By seeing how others withstand the storms, we do not doubt the fairness of fate ; Only by seeing others in their heroic poses with swords in hand do we realize that a life filled with luxury and extravagance has no value. So, you don’t have to make friends with the powerful, but you must seek out circles of positive energy. If a positive-minded friend is a treasure in life, then a circle of such friends represents the best kind of feng shui for one’s life.
