Currently, the temperature control in desulfurization systems is around 40 degrees. Please share as many examples as possible of plants where the temperature is kept around 32 degrees while still achieving good desulfurization results. It’s summer now; how is temperature control handled? Are there any good methods?
In our factory, semi-water gas desulfurization is carried out with the solution temperature controlled at around 30 degrees, and the desulfurization effect is fairly good. The import volume of hydrogen sulfide is around 0.9g–1g, while the export volume is between 0.06g–0.08g. Our factory’s semi-detached unit is equipped with a rich liquid tank, in which coil steam is used for heating; additionally, a cooling tower is used to regulate the temperature by adjusting the speed of the cooling tower fans and the flow rate of the cold water pump. Secondly, there is a secondary line between the cooling tower and the cleaning tower; it was made thicker during this year’s major maintenance, and it seems to be effective so far. Currently, the fan speed of the cooling tower is 1200 revolutions per minute; the maximum speed is 1460 revolutions per minute, so there is still some headroom. The load on the chilled water pump has not yet reached its maximum, and steam is still flowing into the liquid-rich tank. I guess there should be no problems in the summer!
What type of desulfurization do you use? Ammonia water or soda ash? The desulfurization temperature using ammonia water should be kept low, around 32 degrees, mainly to reduce ammonia loss; the desulfurization temperature for alkaline solutions should be higher, in order to ensure effective regeneration of the desulfurization solution. It is generally around 40 degrees
