Oxidative decomposition is carried out using chlorine water. In the brine treatment process, there is chlorinated fresh brine that returns from the ion exchange membrane; this brine can be used to decompose cyanides. The source of cyanides in the brine is mainly the decomposition of organic substances, and it does not pose much harm to the ion exchange membrane. Is potassium ferrocyanide contained in salt?
Won’t the specific amount of cyanide present have any impact? Also, could the ammonia nitrogen content in water have an impact as well? Can it be removed in a single saltwater treatment?
The above can be tested using saltwater to determine it.
Cyanide ions can be treated by oxidation with available chlorine.

Cyanide can be removed through ion exchange. There are indeed many oxidants available for cyanide removal, but for the brine used in chlor-alkali industries, the best method for removing cyanide is to use brine with ion exchange membranes; in the absence of such membranes, chlorine can be used to treat the water, while also paying attention to corrosion prevention. 1 ppm has little impact on the ion membrane; it should be removed during ion exchange, and cyanide ions may no longer be detectable in the secondary brine. It seems that the resin in the resin column is unable to remove ferrocyanide, so its concentration can only be controlled in the raw salt.
It is best to remove cyanide ions; otherwise, over time it will have an impact on the ion exchange membrane. Ozone can be used to remove them.
