Could some expert please advise us on how to use the Sulzer tower calculation software available on our forum? I see that the tower diameter and height need to be specified – is it used for hydraulic calculations? Please offer your guidance

It is used for hydraulic calculations, not for process design; it is necessary to first use simulation software to obtain the required data (or existing process data), and then use those data to carry out hydraulic calculations.

These values change when the type of structured packing is altered; they are not affected by the tower diameter or height. So how does this software carry out hydraulic modeling?

This post was last edited by wiseboy on 2010-4-12 23:13. If you want everything to be clear and transparent, don’t use Sulzer’s products. What Sulzer calculates can only be used correctly by them. Some of the calculation results are clearly ambiguous. For example, if the diffusion coefficient is not known, how can the plate height be calculated? ? ? ? ? ? Deceive people? ? ? ? But Sulzer knew exactly what was going on in its own mind.
