When using thermal resistors for temperature measurement, it is important to note the following: 1. Vibration should not be excessive, as it is often excessive vibration that causes damage to the primary element of the thermal resistor; 2. The temperature being measured should not be too high (maximum not exceeding 250°C)
The range selected for the thermal resistor is not appropriate, its installation location is unsuitable, its design is not suitable for your current working environment, and there are also quality issues
If excessive vibration causes damage to the thermal resistor, choose the armored version!
1. If the fuse wire keeps breaking, consider whether the installation location experiences significant vibration. Or whether the temperature is higher. Consider changing the installation location or replacing the thermocouple. 2. Leakage in the thermal resistance protection tube. Consider changing the manufacturer and using wear-resistant thermoresistors. 3. When there are corrosive gases present at the site, materials resistant to corrosion should be considered; for example, copper resistors should not be used in environments with ammonia gas

Avoiding vibration is crucial; most damage to the thermal resistors here is caused by vibration.
Thermal resistors are inherently fragile components with a typical lifespan of 2 years. Excessively high temperatures or vibrations can indeed affect their lifespan, but they don’t fail frequently; as long as the right model is chosen, there should be no problems. Your estimate is due to a quality issue.
