Those who suffer the most in the workplace are those who don’t know how to say no
In our work, we often encounter situations where supervisors and colleagues assign us extra tasks to do. For example, a supervisor assigns you tasks that are not part of your responsibilities, while the tasks within your own scope of work are already overwhelming. For example, colleagues might ask you to help write personal performance reports, organize files, work on shift duties, or enter data into the company’s business systems. If you agree to help every time, not only will you be extremely tired, but if one day you have too much work and are unable to assist him, he might get angry just because you’re used to helping him. It’s as if it’s only natural for you to help him, and as if failing to do so means you owe him something.
There is a saying that goes, \"Kindness shown when giving rice turns into enmity when demanding it back,\" and the same holds true when it comes to offering help. There are people whom you don’t help very often, but if you help them once in a while, they will be very grateful to you. However, if you agree to do whatever they ask of you every time, and refuse once, they will turn against you. Why? Because it is actually related to people’s psychological expectations. If you don’t help him very often, his expectations of you will be very low; but if you help him once, he will be extremely grateful. But by helping him often, you end up raising his expectations greatly; he thinks you will definitely help him. And once you don’t help him, his expectations are not met, and he will hold a grudge against you and turn hostile toward you.
In fact, many things in life are like this; borrowing money is no exception. If you lend money to someone once to help them out in an emergency, they will be very grateful to you. But if he has no money and turns to you, you give it to him every time; if you refuse once, he will think that you owe him something. In **, when faced with unreasonable requests, we must learn to say no, because learning to say no is the beginning of becoming a mature professional.
Only by learning to say no can you have presence; those who cannot say no give off an image of being submissive, appearing as nice people who are easily bullied. Learning to say no is what makes you attractive; sometimes, people who lack temper are not attractive, and those with too much temper are not liked by others either. Only those who have a bit of a temper but can know when to lose it are cute and charming. Many people only know that they need to learn how to say no; as a result, they refuse in person the tasks assigned to them by their supervisors, and they also decline requests for help from colleagues when they are busy, leading to unpleasant situations and a poor reputation among their peers. If, when faced with unreasonable demands, you get upset and lose control of your emotions, then you are no different from Zhang Fei – you’re just a brute.
Loss is a blessing; heaven is fair. Thinking too much is exhausting
That makes sense; kindness when giving rice, enmity when demanding it. . . . The key is that some people don’t know how to be grateful.
It’s important to learn how to say no. It’s okay to suffer some losses appropriately, but it depends on who those people are.
I agree with you; suffering is a form of blessing; there’s no need to worry about gains and losses, as not striving is the true form of striving.
Loss is a blessing; give two taels of the money you’ve earned to your gray-haired elder brother. :Lol, I really, really miss my brother so much… Those lucky people with money can have it all…… :P
It’s a loss; basically, one has to be more generous when dealing with others, to give more so that others can take advantage of it... Whether that’s a blessing or not, after living for over 50 years, I still haven’t figured it out. I really don’t know. Maybe we can fix the Remington. Over time, as the years pass, the losses can end up being quite substantial. What does it matter if you suffer heavy losses? Benefits, money, and all that – once you’ve earned them, don’t you use them for spending and indulgence? If not on one thing, it will be spent on another, right? No matter how much one loses in dealing with other people, it’s still far better than getting cancer or something; giving money to those who act like demons is certainly a better option. Right? They try desperately to administer drugs even though there’s no way to cure it; they are the true plagues of our time, and hospitals are the epitome of this. :Lol, whether fortunate or not, I truly wish everyone good health.
