When people are chatting with friends and there’s a silence, what do they do? Be silent together?
It depends on your role within the group. If you want to stand out, start a new topic; if you prefer silence, then stay silent :) But chatting requires a certain level of skill.
If there’s no common ground in conversation, better change the topic and bring some tea
