I would like to ask everyone, what is the cutting speed of the fast electric cut-off ball valve, DN250, and whether it can be adjusted. Is the cutting speed of each fast electric cut-off ball valve consistent? Is there any standard specification in this regard? Thank you.
The speed of electric cut-off valves is almost impossible in our factory. You can use pneumatic valves, which are faster than electric ones. You can use "pneumatic valves, accelerators, quick exhaust valves, etc." The DN250 valves have a speed of 2 seconds.
According to the current petrochemical standards, the action time of the cut-off valve should not exceed 10 seconds. I have never used the cut-off of the electric valve, and I feel that it should be slower than the pneumatic valve of the same caliber. If you want to know whether its action speed can meet the work requirements, if you are building a new job, you can check the requirements in the design specifications. If the requirements are not met, be sure to ask the valve manufacturer to come to the site to solve it, because this is a major issue related to safety.
The original poster: Hello! I think it is not ideal to use an electric valve as an emergency shutoff. As far as I know, it seems that such an electric actuator is rarely seen in the market. It is recommended to change the pneumatic + reversing valve + quick exhaust valve or increase the output pressure of the air source + quick exhaust valve to speed up the opening and closing of the valve! In this way, you can decide to adjust the pneumatic valve switching time according to your needs! If possible, we can configure a set of cut-off time for you below! QQ: 928976489MR GUO! :) :) :) :)
Different applications may require different cut-off times. One project I encountered required the cut-off task to be completed within 5 seconds.
There was no air source available on site, so pneumatic valves were not considered in the original design.
The quick closing time of pneumatic or hydraulic can be up to 0.5 seconds, and the fastest can be up to 0.14 seconds. If necessary, please contact me, QQ286292913
The electric quick opening and closing ball valves produced by our company include ordinary types and explosion-proof types. Generally, when the working pressure is PN16 and the nominal diameter is less than DN100, the opening and closing speed is 2.8 seconds, and the opening and closing speed is 5 seconds for the nominal diameter greater than DN125. Pneumatic ball valves first require an air source on site, and also need to be equipped with air source processing and accessories such as solenoid valves, air pipes and connectors. It seems to be relatively cheap, but there is a problem of relatively large maintenance volume in the later period. If there is a problem in any link, it may affect the normal operation of the cylinder. If the diameter of the ball valve is relatively large, the time for the air source to inflate the cylinder will be relatively delayed. The inflation time of a large cylinder may even be more than ten seconds. Electric quick ball valves do not have this problem, the time is constant, and basically no need for later maintenance. Therefore, from the perspective of reliability, electric fast ball valve is better. For more details please QQ: 1135732121
