The main function of a pressure transmitter is to transmit pressure signals to electronic devices. I. Working principle: This device converts the mechanical signal of pressure, namely water pressure, into an electronic signal in the form of current (4-20mA). There is a linear relationship between pressure and the magnitude of voltage or current, usually a proportional relationship. Therefore, the voltage or current output by the pressure transmitter increases as the pressure increases. Thus, a relationship between pressure and voltage or current can be established. The two pressures of the medium being measured are applied to the high-pressure chamber and the low-pressure chamber; the pressure in the low-pressure chamber is either atmospheric pressure or vacuum. These pressures act on the diaphragms on both sides of the sensitive element, and through these diaphragms as well as the filling fluid inside the element, the pressure is transmitted to both sides of the measuring diaphragm. A pressure transmitter consists of a measuring diaphragm and electrodes on the insulating sheets on both sides, each forming a capacitor. When the pressures on both sides are not equal, it causes the measuring diaphragm to shift; the amount of this displacement is proportional to the pressure difference. As a result, the capacitances on the two sides become unequal. Through oscillation and demodulation processes, this is converted into a signal that is proportional to the pressure. II. Main advantages of pressure transmitters: (1) Reliable operation and stable performance. (2) 4-20mA DC two-wire signal transmission, with strong anti-interference capability and long transmission distance. (3) Dedicated V/I integrated circuits feature few peripheral components, making them simple and easy to maintain; they are also small in size and light in weight, which facilitates installation and debugging. (4) Aluminum alloy die-cast housing with three-terminal isolation and an electrostatic spray paint coating for durability. (5) Three types of indicator heads – LED, LCD, and pointer – make on-site reading very convenient. It can be used to measure viscous, crystalline, and corrosive media. (6) The pressure transmitter features high accuracy and high stability. In addition to the imported original sensors being laser-aligned, comprehensive compensation is provided for the overall temperature drift and non-linearity of the device within its operating temperature range.
