Our workshop has been operating normally for over a year now, but I still feel uncertain about the direction in which management should go. Some of the employees in my workshop were trained by me personally, and they currently have nothing to do; there are no significant opportunities for technical improvements either. I would like to ask those who are more experienced how they handled such situations in the past.
1. It is easy to learn how to use a device, but difficult to master it fully. Have your subordinates already mastered the use of this device? 2. The various parameters of the device need to be continuously optimized in order to achieve energy savings and reduced consumption.
Most newly built chemical production facilities today employ new processes, technologies, equipment, and control methods, resulting in a high degree of automation. Therefore, personnel working in these new facilities should strengthen their learning, thoroughly understand the operations of the facilities, keep track of technological advancements, and innovate when necessary.
The device is operating smoothly. Workshop operators are required to remain familiar with the process flow at all times; they need to have a clear understanding of every valve and every pipeline in their minds. If they do not go to the site regularly to check the process over time, they will quickly forget it, and it will be difficult to handle any emergency situations that may arise. As for workshop managers, their main task is to think about ways to improve product yield, reduce energy consumption, and increase profitability, among other things. In short, there is much to be done.
I think what was said upstairs is very good; one should learn more about *equipment knowledge in their free time, and consider how to optimize the manufacturing process, how to save costs and reduce consumption, as well as how to make use of waste. . . . There must be a lot to do. :)
The main focus of production management in the workshop is as follows: 1. Safe, full-capacity, and long-term operation; 2. Energy savings and reduction of consumption; 3. Increasing the proportion of high-quality products; 4. Improving yield; 5. Enhancing the reliability of equipment operation and reducing operating costs. In short, there is much to be done in managing a workshop whose equipment has been in operation for one year. Personal opinion, for reference only!
It’s good when production is running smoothly. If the employees have nothing to do, then reasons need to be found – perhaps by readjusting the staffing arrangement and assigning some of those idle workers to other tasks. In business management, there’s no room for favoritism. Once the manufacturing process is stable, there’s no need to make unnecessary adjustments, as that can have a negative impact on the normal operation of production.
The original poster’s project has been going on for over a year now; usually by this time the system has stabilized, and at the same time people’s enthusiasm gradually fades away, which naturally leads to the situation described by the original poster. I’m also very concerned about what the original poster mentioned, so I’ll keep an eye on this post!

I agree with what was said above; everyone has expressed their points very well. I just want to say that we must absolutely avoid any form of laissez-faire approach – there’s no room for carelessness when it comes to technical matters
