PROII is a simulation software primarily used to simulate flowcharts consisting of towers or multiple devices, for the purpose of optimization. When using PROII to calculate heating furnaces, heat exchangers, or other individual devices, the results are inaccurate or quite rough, as this is not the true purpose of this software. It is recommended to use specialized software such as FRNC-5 for calculating heating furnaces
I agree with the second floor’s opinion; if we’re talking solely about differences in load, it’s necessary to consider the properties you input, such as temperature and pressure. You may have paid attention to temperature but ignored pressure, especially pressure drop. For gas-liquid mixtures, pressure also has a significant impact. The frnc calculation takes pressure drop into account, while when using proii, the pressure drop calculated by proii is quite low, so it can be considered a correction factor.
Using PROII to calculate furnaces is mainly used to determine fuel consumption and furnace load. Detailed calculations for other convective chambers, radiation chambers, etc., are not possible.
