How does Aspen add new substances? ? Material A is not in the component database; how can A be added?
To use Property Estimation in Aspen, one must first obtain the physical properties of that substance and then use Property Estimation to estimate those properties.
It’s best to gather some data by researching or conducting experiments, and then use the methods mentioned above to estimate values for other locations in Aspen, before inputting those values into Aspen for regression analysis
I remember there was a section on thiazole in the Aspen materials on this forum; it mainly covered information such as the molecular formula and structure, as well as the molecular weight and boiling point. There were also estimation formulas provided, with an example for thiazole being an extended version of the Antoine equation, which allows for the estimation of a substance’s properties and can thus be used in Aspen ! !
