The BOGE S150 twin-screw air compressor purchased in 1999 developed a problem of the compressor unit getting stuck on June 25, 2008. After repairing and disassembling the compressor unit, it was found that the damage to it was so severe that it could no longer be repaired and had to be scrapped. The inner ring of the bearing at the rear end of the main screw was damaged; severe high-temperature friction caused it to burn out, with the metal melting and sticking together. The area where the bearing is mounted on the rotor was also severely damaged. The front end of the main screw as well as the front cover were heavily worn, with dents on the cover resulting from friction, and the rotor had defects caused by friction. There are friction marks resulting from contact with the rotor casing on the surfaces of both the main rotor and the auxiliary rotor to varying degrees. Upon disassembling the compressor, it was found that the rotor casing suffered from severe corrosion, especially at the rear end of the rotor (the exhaust side). The metal there was corroded, and the structure had changed; there were numerous cracks and pores on the exhaust side, along with severe fragmentation and detachment. There were large areas of damage at the exhaust port, and the material in that high-pressure area had become highly brittle, rendering repair of the compressor impossible. Due to the unique design and working principles of twin-screw air compressors, and since these compressors are all imported originally from Germany, the screws and casings are manufactured together to ensure the highest precision during assembly. The compressor head casing and the male and female rotors form a separate system, and BOGE cannot provide a replacement for just the compressor head casing; the damaged parts cannot be repaired. BOGE recommends discarding the rotor and replacing it with a new one to ensure stable, safe, and reliable operation. Please friends, share your suggestions or opinions! ! !

Go and check with Shenyang Daliu Laser; as long as the casing can be repaired, there shouldn’t be any major problems. As long as the rotor is not cracked or missing, its basic shape can be determined. It should be fixable. If only a part of the housing is damaged, it can be repaired by using a sleeve. We have an Aijen machine in a situation similar to yours; it has now been repaired and is in use for over a year. However, each case needs to be analyzed individually; if the casing cannot be repaired, then no matter how good the rotor is, it has to be discarded.
