In engineering design, which stage of ours corresponds to the FEED stage used by foreigners?
FEED is related to the basic design, but it is more detailed than the basic design and slightly simpler than the detailed design. FEED comes after Conceptual Design.
It is also known as Front End Loading. In my experience, it isn’t as detailed as the basic design; it is still some way off from the level of detail required in detailed chemical engineering designs. The degree of detail in design may vary from company to company.
FEED ----- Front End Engineering Design; literally, it refers to the preliminary overall final design, which is usually carried out in the early stages of a project, such as the overall process design at the end of the feasibility study phase.

The FEED stage is equivalent to the preliminary design phase in China, but it is more in-depth than preliminary design. Rather than in the feasibility study phase. The difference between the two is too great
Can I say a few words? I work at an engineering company abroad. FEED, in the ground phase, is indeed different from Chinese engineering companies. The purpose of feeding back is to deepen what is referred to as the basic design at the domestic level, to specify certain design parameters, to identify issues as early as possible, to give the project time to prepare itself, and to reduce risks. In other words, it involves progressing with the design step by step in order to prevent problems that arise during the detailed design phase from causing the project to come to a halt or even stop entirely. This includes some of the work done during the detailed design phase. For example: Performing hydraulic calculations (pump NPSH, reboiler, PSV line size, etc.), updating and checking process sketches and equipment data sheets, preliminary single line diagrams, and so on.

Do you mean that FEED comes after the basic engineering design stage? Why do I feel like it’s before BED? Is there still some overlap? I’m referring to the overlap in the project implementation phase, not necessarily the content.
In China, it seems that FEED comes first, followed by the basic design.
