I would like to ask: do everyone start by working on the piping first or on the process aspects? I work on piping, and I’m not very familiar with many of the process-related tasks; how can I make up for that?

I’m not sure which aspect of the process is being referred to Process calculation and design are carried out in the design institute, while production operations take place in the factory. The processes in the factory are specific to petroleum; it is necessary to be familiar with the process flow, operation methods of such installations, and generally, theoretical calculations are not required.

Learn more and practice more. Over two-thirds of the work in chemical engineering design involves piping; having a foundation makes things easier, so keep improving yourself gradually~~
It depends on which direction you want to pursue, but you still need to have some knowledge of the manufacturing processes
Understanding the manufacturing process should be helpful for piping work; if there are issues such as collisions or space constraints in the piping, it’s better to be able to adjust the process when necessary, rather than being at a loss.
