Recently, the Puguang Gas Field was awarded the title of Green Factory in Sichuan Province’s 2018 Green Manufacturing Demonstration Unit selection. It is also the only enterprise in Dazhou City to receive the title of Green Factory since Sichuan Province began selecting model units for green manufacturing. As the largest integrated marine high-sulfur gas field discovered in China to date, the Puguang Gas Field actively pursues a green and low-carbon development strategy. It adopts international advanced production technologies throughout the processes of gas field exploration, drilling, development, gas extraction, and purification, in order to minimize emissions as much as possible. By focusing on technical energy savings and management-based energy savings, their energy utilization efficiency has been continuously improved. “During the 12th Five-Year Plan period, 230,000 tons of standard coal were saved, exceeding the energy-saving targets set by Dazhou City. Since its commissioning, the Puguang gas field has supplied over 50 billion cubic meters of gas to the Sichuan-to-East China gas pipeline, which is equivalent to a reduction of more than 37 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions, thereby providing a continuous supply of clean energy for the green development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
