Many people don’t know how to choose the model when deciding to purchase an electromagnetic flowmeter. Let’s take a look together with the editor on how to select the model for an electromagnetic flowmeter; 1. Flow rate: Determine the scale of the flow meter to be selected based on the maximum flow rate. 2. Determine the diameter of the flow meter based on the flow rate and the size of the industrial pipeline. Generally, an electromagnetic flowmeter that matches the pipeline is chosen. 3. Select the flow meter lining based on the properties of the measured medium. Such as temperature, corrosivity, and whether there might be negative pressure inside the pipeline, etc. Common linings include PTFE, soft rubber, hard rubber, PFA, ceramics, and so on. 4. Select the material of the measuring electrode based on the properties of the medium. Commonly, there are 304, 316, Hastelloy, titanium, tantalum, and so on. 5. Select the pressure rating of the flanges at both ends based on the pressure rating of the process pipeline. 6. Select the protection rating; if the electromagnetic flowmeter sensor is entirely underwater, IP68 should be chosen. The above pertains to the sensor part. There’s also the transmitter part. 1. Determine whether to choose an integrated or separate type based on the requirements of the installation location. 2. What type of output is required: 4-20 mA signals, Hart, Profibus PA, FF, etc. 3. Are explosion-proof requirements necessary? Determine the explosion protection rating. For more information, please visit the company’s official website at http://www.yb1518.com/.
