To restore the adsorption capacity of activated carbon, it must be subjected to acid washing, alkali washing, and water washing in order to remove most of the insoluble inorganic salts, oils, and other impurities from its capillary pores, thereby enabling its regeneration. However, it is clear that acid washing and alkali washing are unlikely to be carried out at home, and exposing it to sunlight is even less likely to remove impurities from the pores of activated carbon hair. Therefore, the activated carbon in newly renovated homes and new cars must be replaced after a few days, otherwise it will become a source of secondary pollution. A good way to remove formaldehyde from a new home is to use formaldehyde removers to absorb and chemically break down the formaldehyde in the panels. Additionally, careful attention must be paid to the procurement of materials before renovation, so as to first measure the formaldehyde content in those materials; those with levels that exceed the limits significantly should not be purchased.
