For chemical process simulation, Pro2, ChemCAD, and Aspen are commonly used. I’m really curious to know which one is the most effective
I personally prefer ASPEN as it seems more challenging.

Pro2 is a bit more effective for simulating towers. But its physical properties are not as good as those of Aspen
I originally thought ASPEN had more comprehensive data than PROII, but now I think each has its own advantages!
It depends on the field you use it in. Chemcad doesn’t seem to be used much in engineering. Commonly used in engineering are Aspen, Pro/2, and HYSYS; among these, HYSYS was acquired by Aspen, and HYSYS was integrated into Aspen 2006. Each simulation software has its own strengths. Aspen has the most comprehensive database; Aspen Plus is widely used in the chemical industry ; The oil industry often uses Pro2 and HYSYS

Your information is a bit outdated; haha, under antitrust pressures, Aspen transferred Hysys to Honeywell. The current version of Hysys is called UniSim Design, and its latest release is R380
Excuse me, in the phrase “HYSYS is generally used in OTS”, what does OTS mean?
