Going out to eat them is expensive, the food isn’t good, and it’s also unhygienic; so I thought I’d just prepare them myself. I went to the market to pick crayfish, brought them back, cleaned them by brushing each one with a toothbrush, then removed their heads and intestinal contents. I cooked and stir-fried the crayfish all by myself. It was really scary at first when cleaning them – those restless crayfish kept jumping around, which made my heart pound wildly. Cutting off their heads was even more terrifying; as a weak woman, I forced myself to act like a tough girl (maybe I’ve always been one, hahaha). After cutting off the heads and removing the intestinal contents from each crayfish, I finally finished the process. Although it was a cruel process, I was satisfied to see the result in the end.
Crayfish are considered a rather failed invasive species. Haha
It looks appetizing, but the process seems a bit scary
If you don’t eat crayfish, in a few years you’ll be like the scavengers in Guangdong.
