Composition: Zhao Lei. Draw a moon in the lonely night sky, and draw me beneath that moon singing. Draw a large window in the deserted house, then a bed; draw a girl to be with me, and also a lace-covered quilt. Draw a stove and firewood – let us be born together and live together. Draw a flock of birds surrounding me, and also green hills and blue slopes; draw peace and tranquility. Raindrops falling on the rice fields. In the painting, there’s a rainbow that can be touched with hands. There’s also a starry sky that I decide will never fade away. Draw a winding, endless, flat path, with homes at its end where dreams take hold. Draw my mother in a serene posture, as well as arguments that can be erased with an eraser. Draw food that will never run out throughout the four seasons; carefree people have no worries. I don’t have an eraser to erase disputes – only a pen that depicts loneliness. The moon in that night sky is no longer bright either; only a sad child remains, singing. I happened to discover this song that I really like, even though it’s been released for many years already. . . .
