According to **the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang**, at the end of August, the 950,000-ton coal coking project of Yilite in Xinjiang officially commenced construction at the coal coking base in Nilke County. The total investment in this project is 1.3 billion yuan (of which nearly 700 million yuan is allocated to the first phase of the project). It is being built through a partnership among companies such as Xinjiang Yilite Industry, Hangzhou Wuyang, and Xinjiang Jinzhengyuan. All preliminary work has been largely completed; the bidding process for the construction of Blast Furnace No. 1 has been finished, and it is expected that the foundation work for this furnace will be completed within this year. Blast Furnace No. 1 is set to be operational by October next year.
