To fully utilize the advantages of turbine flowmeters, several aspects must be taken into consideration during their installation and use. (1) Medium under measurement The liquids measured by turbine flowmeters are generally low-viscosity and low-corrosivity fluids. Although turbine flowmeters are available for measuring various types of media, careful consideration must be given when measuring fluids that are high-temperature, high-viscosity, or highly corrosive; appropriate measures need to be taken. When the viscosity of the medium is too high, the flowmeter coefficients must be calibrated using actual fluid samples, otherwise significant errors will occur. Turbine flowmeters cannot be used to measure vapor-liquid two-phase flow, gas-solid two-phase flow, or liquid-solid two-phase flow. (2) Signal transmission line To ensure that the display instrument has sufficient sensitivity to the pulse signals generated by the turbine flowmeter sensor, it is necessary to improve the signal-to-noise ratio. To this end, various electrical interference phenomena, namely electromagnetic induction, static electricity, and capacitive coupling, should be prevented during installation.
