Recently, China University of Petroleum (Huadong) developed a catalytic esterification and deacidification process that addresses the issues associated with this technique, such as high methanol consumption, high temperatures, and low esterification efficiency, achieving a level that is at the international forefront. It is reported that Dr. Wang Yanzhen from this university, under the guidance of his supervisor Professor Liu Chenguang, identified the active components and carriers suitable for esterification and acid removal of high-acid crude oils and distillates. As a result, a fixed-bed catalyst with excellent performance for esterification and acid removal was synthesized. This is the first catalyst of its kind for the treatment of high-acid crude oils and distillates to be disclosed both domestically and internationally, and it has already been granted a **patent. At the same time, this research developed a continuous experimental setup for esterification and deacidification in a fixed-bed system, and invented a catalytic esterification and deacidification process using a fixed bed, which can be applied to the deacidification of heavy distillates and the fourth fraction; a **patent application has been filed for this invention. Furthermore, this study addresses the issues associated with methods such as the neutralization method, the alcohol-ammonia method, and the decomposition method, namely high energy consumption, long processing times, and significant impacts on subsequent processing steps

Could you provide more detailed information? We produce esters and are very interested; do you have any contact details?
