(1) Requirements for taking all three subjects (the full exam): Any citizen of the People’s Republic of China who abides by **laws and regulations, adheres to professional ethics, and meets one of the following conditions may apply to take the examination for the qualification of Level 1 Registered Fire Engineer. 1. Hold an associate degree in fire protection engineering, with 6 years of work experience, of which at least 4 years have been spent in fire safety-related work ； Alternatively, one must have an associate degree in a field related to fire protection engineering (see Attachment 1; the same applies hereafter), with at least 7 years of work experience, of which at least 5 years must be spent in fire safety-related work. 2. Hold a bachelor’s degree in fire protection engineering, with at least 4 years of work experience, of which at least 3 years should be spent in fire safety-related work ； Alternatively, one must have a bachelor’s degree in a field related to fire protection engineering, with 5 years of work experience, of which at least 4 years should be spent in fire safety-related work. 3. Hold a double bachelor’s degree including in fire protection engineering, or have graduated from a graduate program, with at least 3 years of work experience, of which at least 2 years should be spent in fire safety-related work ； Alternatively, one may obtain a double bachelor’s degree in a field related to fire protection engineering or graduate from a postgraduate program, with at least 4 years of work experience, of which at least 3 years must be spent in fire safety-related work. 4. Hold a master’s degree in fire protection engineering, with at least 2 years of work experience, including at least 1 year in fire safety technology-related work ； Alternatively, one must have a master’s degree in a field related to fire protection engineering, along with 3 years of work experience, of which at least 2 years should be spent in fire safety-related work. 5. Hold a doctoral degree in fire protection engineering, and have at least 1 year of experience in fire safety technology work ； Alternatively, one must hold a doctoral degree in a field related to fire protection engineering, or have worked in fire safety technology for at least 2 years. 6. For those who hold a corresponding degree or qualification from another field, their work experience as well as their experience in fire safety technology work shall each be increased by 1 year.
