In recent years, against the backdrop of rapid growth in the downstream demand for propylene in our country, there has been a surge in projects related to various propylene production processes, such as large-scale integrated refining, coal-to-olefins (CTO, MTO, MTP), propane dehydrogenation (PDH), and light hydrocarbon cracking. The production capacity of propylene in our country has expanded rapidly, resulting in an inevitable structural surplus that poses significant challenges to the pattern of international trade and industrial division of labor, as well as to domestic industrial security. How to choose the key technical approach and how to align the upstream and downstream industrial chains have become the primary issues affecting the future survival and development of industries and enterprises. To promote the high-quality development of China’s propylene industry chain and enhance its core competitive strength.
