1. Setting and control of the temperature in the aging furnace for aluminum profiles: Typically, there is a certain discrepancy between the temperature in the aging furnace and the temperature indicated on its display. When setting the displayed temperature, it is necessary to do so based on the actual temperature of the furnace. China’s recycled copper industry pays close attention to fluctuations in the temperature of aging furnaces. 2. Aging and heat preservation of aluminum profiles: Aging must be carried out strictly in accordance with the process requirements, and the heat preservation time should be appropriate to prevent insufficient hardness due to under-aging or over-aging. 3. The aluminum profiles used for framing should not be packed too closely; there should be gaps between them. This is especially true for small or thick profiles in areas with poor ventilation, where larger gaps are necessary. When tubes, small profiles, and sheets are combined in one frame, it is better to place the tubes at the bottom, as this facilitates air circulation during the aging process. 4. Before loading the aluminum profiles into the furnace, other special 6xxx alloys should be processed separately from the standard 6063 alloy. If it is necessary for reasons related to production to carry out aging in the same furnace, the processing methods specific to those special alloys should be used for aging. Aluminum profiles produced by extrusion have low hardness before aging and cannot be used as finished products; therefore, in general, they must undergo aging to increase their strength. Generally, aging can be divided into natural aging and artificial aging; currently, the production of 6xxx aluminum profiles mainly relies on the latter method.
