The precision digital pressure gauge recently developed by Jiangsu Evergrande Instruments incorporates the company’s extensive experience in manufacturing digital pressure gauges over the years. Today, we will take the HD-YBS series of precision digital pressure gauges with a measurement range of -90~100 KPa as an example to discuss how to calibrate pressure gauges. 1. Upon startup, the instrument displays: model, range, and accuracy. It then automatically switches to a mode where both KPa and mA are displayed. 2. Use a standard piston pressure gauge to apply pressure to the instrument up to its full scale of 100.00 KPa; at this point, there is an error between the instrument and the standard. 3. Press the button to switch the display mode of the instrument from KPa and mA to a mode that shows both KPa and mmH2O, so that full-scale calibration can be performed. 4. Press the pressure and current buttons simultaneously; the gauge will display FS ADJ B along with the pressure value. Press the backlight button once, and the gauge will automatically adjust itself to full scale, showing values of 100.00 KPa and 10200 mmH2O. And it automatically exits the menu, completing the full-course calibration. 5. The steps for adjusting the full range under negative pressure are the same as those for positive pressure. 6. Press the precision digital pressure gauge’s pressure button and the backlight button at the same time; the display will show SET or OFF. Press the backlight button seven times, and the display will show SET ON. Use the debugging menu to enter, and press the pressure button to exit. When the pressure button and backlight button are pressed simultaneously, the instrument displays DEL SET DATT. 7. Press the pressure button once to display: range, accuracy, date and month. The manufacturer adjusts it before shipment, so no further adjustment is needed. 8. Press the pressure button; “SET DP” will be displayed. This is used to adjust the decimal point, and the manufacturer has already made the adjustments before delivery, so no further adjustment is necessary. 9. Press the pressure key; FS ADJ A will be displayed, indicating a correction for linear full-scale adjustment, and no further adjustment is needed. 10. Press the pressure key; “linearization” refers to linear correction. Note: The correction must be performed using 1000 data points (for example, when the pressure goes from 100.00 KPa to a higher value without an increase of 10.00 KPa at each step, press the backlight key once to see the corrected linear relationship). 11. Press the pressure key; “temp compensate” indicates that it is a temperature compensation function. The manufacturer has already adjusted it before delivery, so no further adjustment is required.
