I’ve always been terrible at learning pinyin and English. To this day, I still can’t identify directly which tone a character is pronounced in; I need to read it silently using the tones 1, 2, 3, or 4 before I can determine its tone. My experience with learning English was even worse. In my first English class in middle school, the teacher taught us the seven letters a, b, c, d, e, f, and g. When one of these letters was presented individually, I could still pronounce it correctly. In the second English class, the teacher taught us another seven letters: h, i, j, k, l, m, and n. But when one of these letters was shown alone, I couldn’t figure out how to pronounce it…… And so my English learning started off on a difficult path…… I remember that on the day before the final English exam, I spent the entire afternoon memorizing words by the river; it took me that much time to memorize just four words…… On the day of the exam, I forgot those two words as well!…… Back then, every day on my way to and from school, I had to cross a bridge over yellowish-colored water that flowed quite vigorously…… Whenever I thought about English, that image of that yellowish river would come to mind…… My best score in English during the seventh and eighth grades was 19 points…… In the first semester of the ninth grade, I put a lot of effort into learning English; I studied English and memorized words during every class. I scored 31 points on the final exam…… 31 points was my highest score ever. Even until my college entrance exams, I wasn’t able to exceed that score…… If I could get 61 points in English, would I be able to get into Jiaotong University? If I get 91 points in the English test, will I be able to enter Tsinghua University? Fate stands in my way; it’s destined that I can’t do it. My mind can’t overcome fate; there’s no way out........ 5555555 :lol .

I agree. I just passed the college entrance exam English test with 92 points. If only I could get over 130 points just like in the Chinese language exam. It’s almost easy to choose from the top universities in the country.

Learn English; it requires an appropriate environment. It’s just a language, and it’s not that difficult. Don’t make it too complicated – it will be much easier to learn if you don’t overthink it
