For a dosing metering pump to be able to measure quantities accurately, the proper functioning of its internal transmission mechanism is essential. This transmission mechanism requires lubricating oil, which is stored in an oil tank. However, in many cases, the liquid level in the oil tank rises. What causes this? Reasons for an increase in the oil tank level in a dosing metering pump: 1. The medium being transported is one that vaporizes easily, and the inlet pressure is high. Especially when the pump is stopped, this causes unilateral pressure on the diaphragm. 2. During the commissioning phase of the new system, impurities in the pipes enter the check valve and the outlet check valve, resulting in poor sealing and backflow of system pressure into the pump head. 3. There are foreign objects on the surface of the diaphragm, which puncture the cracks in it. 4. The cracks in the diaphragm occur at the edges where there are indentations and folds. Solutions to the issue of elevated liquid level in the dosing pump’s tank: 1. Replace the diaphragm. The operating procedures have also been improved; after shutting down the pump, it is isolated from the inlet pressure source. Try to relieve the pressure inside the pump head, or keep the metering pump in the discharge state. 2. Replace the diaphragm. And clean and inspect the pipeline system. 3. Clean and sanitize the filters in the pipelines as well as the components at the flow passages, and replace the diaphragm assemblies or diaphragms. 4. Adjust the tightening torque of the pump head. Clean and wash the components at the flow-through end, and replace the diaphragm assembly.
