After the dosing metering pump has finished operating, many people think that simply closing the valve and turning off the power supply is enough. In fact, there is much more to do. As the saying goes, one must make every possible preparation in order to carry out a task properly. So what else needs to be done after the dosing metering pump has stopped working? 1. First, adjust the dosage setting mechanism to the “0” position; the crankshaft will stop rotating, but the motor will still be running. Then cut off the power supply, and the motor will also stop rotating. 2. If the pump is to be shut down for an extended period of time, the liquid inside the pump must be completely drained to prevent blockages and corrosion of the pump. 3. 20# or 30# mechanical oil is generally used in the variable speed gearbox; the oil level in the gearbox and the oil cups of the three valves should be maintained at the rated level. 4. The lubricating oil in the pump should be replaced every 6 months. When replacing it, the old oil must be completely removed; only after the tank is thoroughly cleaned should new oil be poured in. 5. Keep the exterior of the equipment clean and ensure good insulation of the motor. 6. Keep proper records of equipment operation, shutdown, accidents, and metering pump maintenance.
