As the title says: The colorful beaches in Xinjiang are not as impressive as the Danxia landforms in Zhangye, but they are still worth a look. The sunlight is too strong when taking photos, which makes the colors less visible. Wucaitan is located in Yegiztobei Township, Buerjin County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is a 4A-level tourist attraction and has been included in the list of “100 Amazing Sceneries in the Northwest”. The rocks there contain various minerals, which give rise to a range of colorful patterns; hence it was named “Wucaitan”. Wucaitan is located on the first and second terraces on the north bank of the Irtysh River, the only river in China that flows into the Arctic Ocean. It sits at an altitude of 480 meters. In the direction of Haba River County, it is 24 kilometers away from Burqin town, and it represents a necessary route to reach the Kanas Lake area. The north bank of Wucaitan features cliff-like badland landscapes, while the south bank is covered with lush green trees forming continuous forests; the main attraction there is the Ak Tutbek cable bridge.
