Based on the working principle, structure, characteristics, and design considerations of intelligent electromagnetic flowmeters, the following 10 points should be taken into account when installing them: 1. Select the location where the intelligent electromagnetic flowmeter will be installed according to requirements, but the axis of the electrodes must be roughly horizontal； 2. Ensure that the flow direction indicated on the flow meter is consistent with the actual flow direction of the fluid ； 3. The measurement tube must be completely filled with the medium at all times; only when it is full can accurate measurements be obtained. For tubes that are only partially filled, an installation method similar to that of a check valve should be used, and it must not be installed at the lowest point to prevent the accumulation of solids. Additionally, to avoid the creation of a vacuum, the sensor should not be installed at the inlet end of the pump ； 4. During installation, ensure there is sufficient space near the pipe flange ； 5. The pipes on both sides of the electromagnetic flowmeter must be securely supported; it should not be installed in areas with severe vibrations ； 6. For ease of installation, for large-sized instruments with DN＞200, expansion joints can be used to allow axial movement of the butt flanges ； 7. Measured from the electrode axis, the length of the shortest straight pipe section upstream is 5DN, and the length of the shortest straight pipe section downstream is 2DN (DN being the inner diameter of the pipe) ； 8. For split-type intelligent electromagnetic flowmeters, the signal converter (as well as the power amplifier) should be ； Install it as close as possible to the sensor; the connection cables should be shielded cables, preferably double-shielded ones. Also, do not expose the signal converter (or power amplifier) directly to sunlight – if necessary, a sunshade can be used ； 9. For vortex-like or spiral flow of fluids, it is necessary to lengthen the upper and lower straight pipe sections and install flow straighteners ； 10. To ensure the reliable operation of the instrument, improve measurement accuracy, and protect it from interference from external stray potentials, the sensor should have a proper separate grounding wire, with a grounding resistance of <10Ω.
