How is the head height of a storage tank determined? What does it have to do with tank height?
Are you referring to the pressure vessel storage tank? If a standard oval head is used, the total height of the head = height of the straight section of the head + 1/4 head diameter
For the standard head, you can check JB/T4746-2002, which is available on the website, or you can calculate it according to the method above.
If it is a pressure vessel, you can choose it directly from JB/T4746, and all relevant parameters are included.
I don’t know which country’s standard you are using to design it. If it is designed according to GB150, please refer to JB/T4746-2002 "Head for Pressure Vessels" to determine the head height. If it is ASME, then you should refer to the eighth volume of ASME BPVC. If you adopt the EN standard, please refer to EN13445.
If you choose a standard head, the head height standards have been given and have nothing to do with the length of the cylinder.
