Let me throw some light on things: The history of synthetic ammonia and the current situation in my country 1. Overview of the production and development of China's synthetic ammonia industry. After more than 40 years of development, China's synthetic ammonia industry has ranked first in the world in terms of output. It has mastered the technology of producing synthetic ammonia from a variety of gas, solid and liquid raw materials such as coke, anthracite, lignite, coke oven gas, natural gas and oil field associated gas and liquid hydrocarbons, forming a unique synthetic ammonia production pattern in mainland China in which coal, oil, and natural gas raw materials coexist and large, medium and small production scales coexist. 1. Current status of production capacity China's synthetic ammonia production equipment coexists with large, medium and small scales, with a total designed production capacity of 4222×104t. At present, there are more than 570 synthetic ammonia production enterprises in the country, of which 30 have an output of more than 30×104t in 2004, and 4 have an output of more than 50×104t. China's actual annual production capacity of synthetic ammonia reached 4596×104t in 2005, but synthetic ammonia has always been a major energy consumer in the chemical industry. On June 7-8, 2005, the National Ammonia Energy-Saving Renovation Project Technical Exchange Conference was held in Beijing, which clarified the specific goals to be achieved by the ammonia energy-saving project during the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period in terms of consumption reduction and environmental protection. According to the "Ammonia Energy Optimization and Energy Saving Project Implementation Plan" plan, the goal of this key energy-saving project is: The large-scale ammonia synthesis plant adopts advanced energy-saving technology, new catalysts and high-efficiency energy-saving equipment to improve conversion efficiency and strengthen waste heat recovery and utilization. ; Promote the first-stage boiler flue gas waste heat recovery technology for synthetic ammonia using natural gas as raw material, and transform the steam system ; Synthetic ammonia using petroleum as raw material accelerates the transformation of replacing raw oil with clean coal or natural gas ; Small and medium-sized synthetic ammonia uses energy-saving equipment and pressure swing adsorption recovery technology to reduce energy consumption. By 2010, the energy saving target for the ammonia industry is: The unit energy consumption has dropped from the current 1,700kg standard coal/t to 1,570kg standard coal/t. ; Energy efficiency increased from the current 42.0% to 45.5% ; Achieve energy saving (570---585)×104t standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions (1377---1413)×104t. For more than ten years, the ammonia synthesis unit has undergone repeated raw material route transformation and energy-saving transformation, such as oil-to-coal, coal-to-oil, oil-to-gas, and anthracite-to-pulverized coal. However, due to many reasons such as the raw material route of the device, resource supply, transportation, funding and technological maturity, the effect of synthetic ammonia energy-saving technological transformation has never reached the expected goals. By the end of 2004, the average unit energy consumption of synthetic ammonia was 1,700kg standard coal/t, and the average energy consumption per ton of ammonia was 600--~700kg standard coal different from the international advanced level. 2. Market supply and demand analysis and forecast As a major agricultural country, China is also a major producer of chemical fertilizers and synthetic ammonia. China's synthetic ammonia production capacity has increased significantly in the past ten years. In 2002, China's total synthetic ammonia production capacity was approximately 4500×10. t/a, actual output is 3654×10. t/a, capacity and output have ranked first in the world. After nearly 20 years of rapid growth, domestic nitrogen fertilizer consumption has now entered a stage of steady development. According to * * “According to the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" for Fertilizer Development, China's fertilizer demand growth rate is expected to be about 1.5% from 2000 to 2010. Ammonia used in chemical fertilizers will increase slightly, while industrial ammonia will not change much. At present, China's synthetic ammonia production has basically met the needs of the nitrogen fertilizer industry. In the future, the development of the nitrogen fertilizer industry will focus on adjusting the product structure, and the demand for synthetic ammonia will grow slowly. 2. A new type of ammonia synthesis technology will be used. The world's nitrogen fertilizer (nitrogen content) production capacity is currently 132.7 million t/a (synthetic ammonia capacity is 160 million t/a). By 2005, about 6.5 million t/a ammonia synthesis capacity will be put into production. Major companies around the world are working to expand their ammonia production capabilities. Most of KBR's units currently use the advanced ammonia synthesis process - KAAJP technology. This technology is different from conventional technology. Three of the four beds use a ruthenium catalyst with activated carbon as a carrier. The activity of this catalyst is much higher than the standard magnetite catalyst. The higher activity allows the reaction to be carried out at 9 MPa, while conventional technology is 20 MPa, thus reducing investment and energy consumption. The nail catalyst is used in the next three beds, which can increase the ammonia synthesis yield to more than 18%.

Forecast of the development of world synthetic ammonia production capacity in the next few years. According to the "Global Fertilizer and Raw Materials Supply and Demand Outlook" report released by the International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFA) at the 77th Annual Meeting, it is estimated that global synthetic ammonia production capacity will increase from 180.9 million tons in 2008 to 217.8 million tons in 2013. The actual global production of synthetic ammonia in 2008 was 152.8 million tons, a decrease of 1% in 2008. China, Australia, Europe, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago, India, Saudi Arabia, etc. have decreased, while demand from Iran, Canada, Indonesia, Mexico, Venezuela, etc. continues to increase. In 2008, the global synthetic ammonia production capacity increased by 5 million tons compared with 2007, mainly from China, Africa, West Asia and other regions. From 2009 to 2013, 55 large-scale ammonia synthesis units will be put into operation around the world. The new units will increase the global ammonia production capacity by 24 million tons, of which 13 million tons will come from the upgrading of ammonia synthesis equipment, and the rest will come from 55 new units. In terms of raw material structure, 73% of the newly added 24 million tons of synthetic ammonia will use natural gas as raw material, 27% will use coal as raw material, and the remainder will be naphtha or refining by-products. The survey data has excluded some production capacity that cannot be put into production or is delayed due to various factors. Capacity growth mainly comes from East Asia (13.5 million tons), West Asia (7.5 million tons), Latin America (5 million tons), and Africa (4.5 million tons), while Europe and Oceania will remain stable. It is reported that one-third of the world's newly built ammonia plants come from China, and the rest come from Algeria, Trinidad, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India, etc. * * .
