As the title suggests: In natural gas desulfurization and decarbonization processes, how can corrosion of equipment by amine (MEA, MDEA, etc.) solutions be reduced? What type of material is generally used for corrosion-resistant components? I seek advice from experts Thank you in advance!
The corrosion in the desulfurization system is closely related to process control; meanwhile, the installation of amine injection for revival can also be considered.
The steel used for desulfurization equipment is equivalent to 15CrMo; the upper part of the C-removal stripping tower equipment is made of 316, while the lower part is made of 16MNR. I’m also very interested in knowing the reasons for corrosion; please advise. Desulfurization is carried out using the MDEA process, while desulfurization and hydrogenation are used as well

In the first half of the year, an RBI project on a purification unit was carried out.
