Dioxins are colorless, odorless, highly toxic lipophilic substances. The full names of these compounds are 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD). Control method: Control uncontrolled waste incineration by adopting new incineration technologies to increase the combustion temperature (above 1200°C) and reduce dioxin emissions.
When burning chlorine-containing waste gases, corrosion issues must be taken into account; graphite furnaces can be used for incineration. The exhaust gases must be absorbed with alkalis to meet environmental regulations.
