Why are stepmothers always so cruel? Is it solely caused by fairy tales?
It depends on the person; it’s not absolute – some biological mothers are just as bad as stepmothers. . . .
It must be an expression of an animal’s innate nature. After all, humans evolved from primates, and this evolution likely took only tens of thousands of years; yet some fossils of primates are over a million years old. Therefore, human compassion has not yet been embedded in our genes, while the genes for cruelty in animals remain very strong.
It’s not necessarily the case; it can’t be generalized
When it comes to raising children in the same way, if the biological mother gives them a few taps, it’s at most seen as being too strict; but if it’s the stepmother, it’s considered cruel. Being a stepmother is tough; being too strict won’t do, and being too lenient won’t work either
It’s a matter of perspective – different people have different views on it; what can one say about that?
