Why do most people always think that what’s Western is good? Rational judgment should be that East and West have their own merits! What do you think?
Saying that one side is better than the other is incomplete; this pandemic has also demonstrated the strength of the Eastern powers. What do you think? The moon abroad is not necessarily much rounder than that at home!
The original poster is right; the admiration for foreign things boils down to this psychological issue.
“\"Each has its own advantages\" should be a conclusion drawn from a comparison of large amounts of public information, rather than a vague feeling or a polite expression. Otherwise it’s just nonsense. The claim that we Chinese and African blacks are \"equally good in their own ways\" is something I refuse to accept. The West entered modern civilization earlier, thanks to its age of exploration, capitalist society, and technological revolutions. Due to the misrule of the Manchu rulers and the aggression by modern powers, China started developing its modern civilization relatively late. So textbooks can only talk about those four ancient inventions that had minimal impact on modern civilization, in order to maintain national pride. Over the past 40 years since China’s reform and opening up, it has developed at a rapid pace. The average IQ and education level of the Chinese people are quite high; Chinese private enterprise owners are diligent, and their employees are hardworking. China’s industrial system is the most well-developed. In dealing with the pandemic, China’s mobilization capacity, production capacity, and social order all proved superior to those of the West. If things continue in this manner, China will inevitably overtake the United States and become a superpower, and the RMB will to some extent replace the dollar, thus escaping the fate of being exploited by it. Chinese manufacturing is moving from low-end to high-end, from low prices to high prices; this is a devastating blow for the West, as they will not be able to cope at that time. So for the West, China is an enemy of the public
Face reality, acknowledge the gaps, work hard to improve, learn from others’ strengths to offset our weaknesses; avoid excessive admiration for foreign things and superstitions, and strive to catch up!
Probably because they have not experienced Western life, and the media’s portrayal of the West satisfies their fantasies about an ideal life.
