What is the typical scale of production facilities for the oxidation of methanol to produce formaldehyde, and what is the largest scale available in China? Here, most plants are built with a capacity of 30,000 tons per year; if we wanted to achieve a capacity of 150,000 tons per year, it would mean building 5 such plants, which seems unreasonable. Are there any production units capable of handling 150,000 tons per year on a single line?

According to my information, the company with the largest production capacity in China is Zhuhai Yide Petrochemical Co., Ltd.; its formaldehyde production capacity is 250,000 tons per year. The contact number is 0756-3378427 – you can give them a call.

It should be possible to reach 150,000 tons per year (at 37%), and the largest application is likely to be in conjunction with polyoxymethylene; checking the production capacity of polyoxymethylene in joint ventures in Jiangsu will give an idea. The single-line capacity of the iron-molybdenum method is relatively high.
